The site is situated in a large disused quarry in the grounds of Champs Hill. It is available primarily for Christian youth groups, and associated ventures.
The area can be used during the day or for short overnight stays with the user bringing their own equipment.
There is a good-sized sheltered hut (concrete floor), with one open end, overhead lighting, fridge, freezer, and power points for extra electrical items. There are 3 trestle tables and chairs. Nearby is a tap with drinking water, dustbins and a brick barbecue (wood available).
The Wash Block consists of 3 flush toilets, 3 wash cubicles, 1 hot shower, and a washing-up area, all with overhead lighting and extra power points. Nearby is a wood store.
The available space in the quarry is approximately half the size of a football pitch.
